Estudiantes de Rio Cuarto – Independiente Rivadavia
Estudiantes Río Cuarto once again put in a respectable performance, as they have in every match since returning to the top division, but were unable to claim their first win. Despite taking the lead, they eventually lost 2-1 away to Banfield, a side that is expected to be one of their direct rivals in the battle to avoid relegation. El León del Imperio have collected just one point from the first three rounds of the Torneo Apertura, which leaves them bottom of the relegation averages table. They have also gone four league matches without a win (two draws and two defeats). At home, Estudiantes are unbeaten in their last ten matches, with eight wins and two draws. Independiente Rivadavia keep piling up points at the start of the new season. Last Tuesday, they delivered another solid performance to defeat Sarmiento 2-1 at home, with goals from Fabrizio Sartori and Alejo Osella. As a result, they are the only side with a perfect record in the Torneo Apertura so far, sitting on nine points from the first three rounds and leading both Group B and the overall standings. In fact, La Lepra extended their unbeaten run in league play to five matches (four wins and one draw). Independiente Rivadavia has been surprisingly solid in the start of the season with 3 out of 3 wins and scoring 6 goals, while Estudiantes has been the opposite collecting just 1 point so I expect them to take more risks at home and this very short totals lines is worth a bet.
