Racing vs Tigre
Last Monday, Racing Club delivered one of the most thrilling matches of the year in Argentine football, defeating River Plate 3–2 at home with a goal from Gastón Martirena in the 93rd minute. La Academia extended their excellent league run: they are now ten matches unbeaten, with seven wins and three draws. At home, they are six without defeat in this competition, with four victories and two draws. Facundo Mura and Bruno Zuculini are ready to return. However, coach Gustavo Costas would repeat the XI. Tigre made a strong statement on Wednesday night, spoiling the celebration for Lanús —recent winners of the Copa Sudamericana— by defeating them 1–0 away, with a goal from David Romero early in the second half to reach the quarter-finals. **El Matador** have lost only one of their last ten matches in the Torneo Clausura (four wins and five draws). As visitors, they record three wins, three draws and three losses this semester. Joaquín Laso returns to the team on Monday after serving his suspension. I expect an open game here, same as the Quarterfinal Racing played last week against River. They looked good in attack but poor in defense, and Tigre showed they can be dangerous so I’ll go for the OVER here.
