Rosario Central vs Boca
Rosario Central saw their away match against Sarmiento suspended two weeks ago due to heavy rain in Junín. As a result, they remain on ten points in the Torneo Clausura, earned through two wins and four draws, which keeps them inside the playoff spots and also in Copa Libertadores qualification via the aggregate table. Central have lost just one of their last 14 home matches, winning ten and drawing three. All regular starters are available for Sunday’s match.
Boca Juniors are beginning to find their best form in the league. Two weeks ago, they defeated Aldosivi 2-0 away with goals from Lautaro Di Lollo and Rodrigo Battaglia. With that result, El Xeneize extended their unbeaten run in the league to four matches (three wins and a draw) and climbed to third place in Group A with 12 points. They also remain inside the qualification zone for next season’s Copa Libertadores. Boca have won back-to-back away games without conceding a goal. Goalkeeper Agustín Marchesín suffered a muscle injury and will miss Sunday’s match.
Boca finally found some rhythm, with 3 wins in a row they look much more confident and they will play against another championship candidate, Rosario Central, led by the legend Angel Di Maria, this is the game of the round and we should see at least 2 goals.
