Tigre vs Huracan
Tigre delivered an excellent defensive performance two weeks ago, securing a valuable goalless draw away to Unión Santa Fe. With four points from three matches in the Torneo Clausura, El Matador remain inside the Copa Sudamericana qualification zone, despite having won only one of their last nine league games (four draws and four losses). At home, Tigre have recorded one win, three draws, and two losses in their last six matches. Last Saturday, the team advanced to the Copa Argentina quarter-finals by beating San Lorenzo 1-0.
Huracán showed significant improvement in their last league match, defeating Boca Juniors 1-0 at home thanks to a goal from Matko Miljevic in the 65th minute. El Globo snapped a four-game winless run in the league (one draw and three regular-time defeats), collected their first three points of the Torneo Clausura, and moved to within just one point of the Copa Sudamericana qualification zone. Away from home, Huracán have won just one of their last four matches in this competition (one draw and two losses). A week ago, the team lost 2-0 to Lanus in the Copa Argentina round of 16. Matko Miljevic will miss this match due to a muscle problem while Hernan Galindez is back.
In a very underish league, Huracan has struggled in defense conceding 5 goals in 3 games so even though their starting goalkeeper is back, I expect to see a couple of goals here. 6 of the last 7 Tigre’s home games had at least 2 goals and I expect this trend to continue.
