Aldosivi vs Racing
Aldosivi continues to grow under interim head coach Mariano Charlier. In the previous round, the team earned a very important point against one of the league’s top sides, drawing 3-3 away to Huracán. With that result, they extended their unbeaten run in the league to three matches (two wins and one draw), staying out of the relegation zone in both the aggregate and averages tables with nine points. Five of those points have come at home: one win, two draws, and three losses. Racing Club got back on track in the league and delivered an excellent performance to defeat Banfield 4-1 at home last week, with Adrián Martínez netting a hat-trick. With that result, La Academia is back in the playoff race: having lost just one of their last four league matches (two wins and one draw), they now sit on 16 points — just one behind eighth-placed Independiente Rivadavia. On the downside, Racing have struggled away from home in the Torneo Apertura, losing four of six matches, with one win and one draw. Gustavo Costas’ men lost 2-1 at home to Colombia’s Atlético Bucaramanga on Thursday, April 10, for Matchday 2 of the Copa Libertadores. Once again I’m going with the OVER in a Racing game. They have one of the best attacks in the league without any doubts but they’ve been defensively irregular lately like midweek when they surprisingly lost in Copa Libertadores against small colombian side Bucaramanga. Aldosivi are by far the worst defense of the league averaging 2 per game (24 in 12 matches) but they’ve improved in attack as shown last week in the 3-3 vs Huracan last week.
