Defensa y Justicia vs Central Cordoba
After a disappointing debut, Defensa y Justicia bounced back in great fashion on Thursday, playing very good football to secure an easy 5-0 victory over Aldosivi away, with Aaron Molinas in superb form. These were the first three points in the Torneo Apertura for El Halcón, who have lost only one of their last 11 league matches, winning fivé and drawing fivé in that spéll. The 1-0 defeat against Banfield in the opening round ended their nine-match unbeaten streak at home in this competition, with five wins and four draws.
CA Central Cordoba extended their great form last Thursday, securing a convincing 2-0 home victory over Atletico Tucumán, with goals from Leonardo Heredia and Ivan Gomez. The team remain perfect on six points after two matches and continue as one of the leaders in Group A. In fact, Omar De Felippe’s men have won three of their last four league games, along with only one loss. On a negative note, El Ferroviario have lost their last two away matches without even scoring in any of those.
Defensa looked amazing in the big win against Aldosivi and despite the unfortunate defeat vs Banfield in the 1st round they’ve been strong at home, so I’ll trust them here against a good Central Cordoba that has been good at home but terrible away.
