Argentine Primera Division: Tigre vs Union Odds for February 03, 2025

Tigre vs Union

After an excellent debut, Tigre were overwhelmed by Argentinos Juniors and suffered their first defeat under new head coach Diego Dabove, losing 1-0 away from home. El Matador remain with three points in the Torneo Apertura and saw their streak of two consecutive league victories come to an end. Tigre had defeated Vélez Sarsfield 3-0 at home in the opening match after going four home games without a win (two draws and two losses). Joaquín Laso is suspended for Monday due to his red card against Argentinos Juniors.

Thanks to Franco Fragapane’s stoppage-time goal, Union Santa Fe salvaged a 1-1 draw at home against Boca Juniors on Wednesday, avoiding what would have been an undeserved but seemingly inevitable defeat. However, the team still have plenty to improve: this was their first point out of six in the Torneo Apertura, and if we include last season, El Tatengue has won just one of their last seven league matches, alongside two draws and four losses. On the road, Union earned just one point from the last 15 available. Striker Jose Angulo remains the only absentee for head coach Cristian Gonzalez due to a knee injury ahead of Monday’s match.

I’ll go for the OVER in this low totals line here. Tigre at home had a great start scoring 3 goals against the defending champions Velez and today they will miss Joaquin Laso, one of their best defenders. Union will have experienced striker Marcelo Estigarribia who arrived this week and should improve their attack.

BET: OVER 1.75 @ 1.79
