Estudiantes vs Central Cordoba
Estudiantes avoided embarrassment last Saturday, salvaging a late draw against Aldosivi, a team that had not earned a single point until then. Thanks to Jose Sosa’s goal in the 81st minute, El Pincha extended their unbeaten run to nine league matches (four wins and five draws), but they are no longer one of the Group A leaders, accumulating 12 points and trailing Argentinos Juniors by two. Additionally, Estudiantes are undefeated in their last four home games, with three wins and one draw.
CA Central Córdoba delivered their best performance last Saturday, securing a much easier-than-expected victory with a 4-0 thrashing of Belgrano at home. With this result, El Ferroviario climbed to second place in Group A with 13 points (just one behind leaders Argentinos Juniors) after going three matches unbeaten in the Torneo Apertura (two wins and one draw). However, their away form remains a concern, as they have earned just one point from their last 12 available on the road (since November, when they defeated Newell’s Old Boys 3-2).
