Argentinos Jrs vs Independiente Rivadavia
Argentinos Juniors are clearly the best team in the league right now. Last weekend, they delivered an impressive performance and secured a resounding 3-2 victory over Racing Club away from home. With this result, Nicolas Diez’s team remain at the top of Group A with 14 points and extend their unbeaten streak to eight league matches (five wins and three draws). Additionally, they are unbeaten in their last four home games, winning three and drawing one. Captain Alan Rodríguez will be available on Monday after missing the last match due to an eye issue. Tobias Ramirez is also set to return.
Independiente Rivadavia suffered a tough blow in their last match, unable to cope with the numerical disadvantage from the 12th minute and ultimately falling 4-1 to Tigre. As a result of their three-match winless streak (one draw and two defeats), La Lepra dropped out of the playoff zone in Group A, now sitting ninth with eight points, just one behind Huracan, who are in eighth place. Additionally, Independiente lost 2-0 to Boca Juniors in their last away match, ending a streak of four consecutive road victories. Ivan Villalba saw a red card against Tigre and is suspended here.
Argentinos Jrs has been playing good football, they are still undefeated and can take back the top spot of Group A if they win here, something that should happen against a weak and irregular rival like Independiente Rivadavia.
