Argentinos Jrs vs Aldosivi
Argentinos Juniors continue to have an excellent campaign. Last Friday, the team showed great determination to come from behind and defeated Banfield 2-1 away, with Lucas Gomez scoring the winning goal in stoppage time. El Bicho remain at the top of Group A with 21 points (alongside Tigre) and are getting closer to securing a spot in the playoffs. They are now 11 matches unbeaten in the league (seven wins and four draws). At home, Argentinos have gone six games without defeat, winning four and drawing two.
Aldosivi are clearly the worst team in the league at the moment. Last Sunday, the team were once again overwhelmed by their opponent and suffered a deserved 2-0 home defeat against Tigre, one of the Group A leaders. As a result, El Tiburón remain at the bottom of the overall standings with two points (two draws and seven losses). Additionally, Aldosivi have earned just one point from the last 15 available on the road (including last season). Mariano Charlier takes over as interim boss on Friday.
The best team in the league hosts the worst who will have an interim coach, so anything else than a clear home win will be a big surprise.
