Aldosivi vs Atletico Tucuman
Aldosivi showed renewed energy again under recently-appointed coach Javier Sanguinetti but could not come away with any points after a 4-3 away loss to Independiente Rivadavia, one of the best-performing teams of the season. They remain on five points in the Torneo Clausura, with one win, two draws and six defeats. As a result, El Tiburón are still in the relegation places in the overall standings, sitting seven points behind Deportivo Riestra with only seven rounds remaining. At home, they have won one, drawn eight and lost three matches in the 2026 season. Atlético Tucumán put up a very respectable performance despite a 2-1 home defeat to River Plate, playing almost 80 minutes with 10 men, finding an equalizer and only losing the point in stoppage time. The result ended a four-match unbeaten run in the Clausura, with two wins and two draws during that spell. El Decano remain in a strong position despite the setback, with 13 points and currently sitting sixth in Group B, inside the playoff places. The annual table is no longer a realistic target for either international qualification or avoiding relegation, making the Clausura their only remaining league objective. Aldosivi knows that relegation is just around the corner but they decided to go fighting as shown by the 6 goals they scored in the last 3 games so I expect this to be an open match and I’ll go for the OVER.
