Banfield vs Huracan
Banfield continue to struggle with each passing match. Two weeks ago, El Taladro suffered a tough 3-1 defeat away to Unión Santa Fe, a direct rival in the relegation battle. With this loss, Banfield extended their winless streak to eight league matches (two draws and six defeats). Ariel Broggi’s team have only eight points in ten rounds of the Torneo Apertura, just two above the relegation zone in the accumulated table. Additionally, Banfield earned only two points from the last 12 available at home.
Huracán remains one of the top teams in the Liga Profesional. In their last match, they delivered a strong performance, defeating Independiente Rivadavia 2-0 at home with goals from Emmanuel Ojeda and Eric Ramírez. El Globo climbed to second place in Group A with 21 points, just two behind leaders Boca Juniors, after extending their unbeaten streak to seven matches (six wins and one draw). Away from home, Huracán collected seven out of the last nine points available.
Banfield’s attack should finally be improved: veteran playmaker Damian Diaz and striker Tomas Nasif return form their injuries and they should give them an attack boost. Huracan has scored at least once in their last 9 games, so considering all this I have to take the OVER on this very short totals line.
