Barracas Central vs Aldosivi
Barracas Central delivered a very convincing performance in their most recent league match, defeating Banfield 3-1 away from home. With that result, El Guapo climbed to six points in the Torneo Clausura and remain one of the leaders in Group A. They also continue to sit in a Copa Sudamericana qualification spot after winning four of their last six league matches, losing just twice. However, they lost 3-0 to Independiente Rivadavia in their most recent home game, a result that snapped a run of three consecutive home wins.
Aldosivi continue to struggle in the second half of the year. Their goalless draw at home against Newell’s Old Boys leaves them with just two points in the Torneo Clausura (two draws and one loss), sharing the relegation zone in the aggregate standings with Talleres and Sarmiento. On the road, El Tiburón have won just one of their last four away matches (one draw and two losses). Last week, Aldosivi lost 2-1 to Argentinos Juniors in the Copa Argentina quarter-finals. Yonathan Cabral is still suspended.
Aldosivi are arguably one of the worst teams in the league and a serious relegation candidate, and I expect them to struggle against this decent Barracas who are coming from a good win against Banfield.
