Barracas Central vs Aldosivi
Barracas Central claimed one of the most memorable victories in their history on Saturday night, beating River Plate 1-0 away at the Estadio Monumental thanks to a first-half goal from Gonzalo Morales. In new head coach Damián Ayude’s debut, Barracas picked up their first three points of the Torneo Clausura, ended a three-match winless league run (two draws and one defeat) and moved closer to the Copa Sudamericana qualification places in the overall standings. Barracas have struggled at home of late, taking just one of the last nine points available during the Torneo Apertura. Aldosivi were unable to hold on to an early lead provided by Nicolás Cordero and had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to Defensa y Justicia. While it was not a bad way to begin the Torneo Clausura, El Tiburón remain without a league victory in 2026. With nine draws and eight defeats, they have collected nine points and remain in the relegation zone in the overall standings, five behind Deportivo Riestra. On away turf, the draw gave Aldosivi just their second point from a possible 27 in league play this season. Both beat River recently in historic results: Barracas in the 1st round of the league and Aldosivi with a 3-1 in Copa Argentina. Aldosivi needs points because they are in the relegation zone and they’ve shown that they are ready to take more risks, so I’ll take the OVER in this short totals line.
