Boca vs Racing
Boca Juniors are still going through a rough patch. Two weeks ago, the team put in a poor performance and lost 1-0 away to Huracán. El Xeneize have collected just two points in the Torneo Clausura and are now winless in seven league matches (four draws and three regular-time defeats), which pushed them out of the Copa Libertadores qualification zone. At home, they have failed to win any of their last three (two draws and one loss).
Racing Club took another step backwards two weeks ago, putting in a poor performance in their 1-0 home loss to Estudiantes. With just three points from three matches in the Torneo Clausura, La Academia remain outside the Copa Libertadores qualification zone, having lost three of their last four league games, with just one win during that span. On the bright side, Racing have won three consecutive away matches in this competition. Last Sunday, Racing advanced to the Copa Argentina quarter-finals by beating Deportivo Riestra 3-0.
One of the big derbies in the league but Boca continues struggling and their crisis seems like it doesn’t have an end. Racing has been irregular so far this season as they are more focused on Libertadores and for this game they won’t have their starting goalkeeper Arias as well as too important defensive players like Martirena and Zuculini, so I’ll take the OVER here between teams that have good offensive power.
