Boca vs Racing
Boca Juniors show no signs of slowing down. Last Sunday, the team cleared a very tough hurdle, defeating Argentinos Juniors 1–0 at home thanks to a first-half goal from Ayrton Costa, taking another step toward their first league title since 2022. It was El Xeneize’s sixth consecutive win in the Torneo Clausura, and they have also won their last four home matches without conceding a single goal. Racing Club had to work harder than expected last Monday, defeating Tigre on penalties at home after a tough scoreless draw. With that result, they move closer to their first league title since 2019. In fact, La Academia have extended their impressive unbeaten run to 11 league matches (seven wins and four draws in regulation time). Away from home, Gustavo Costas’ team have earned 10 of the last 12 points available in the Torneo Clausura. Gastón Martirena and Santiago Sosa are suspended for Sunday after being sent off against Tigre. Racing is a good team but Boca are in a better form, they seem unbeatable lately, they are not conceding any goals at home and Racing will miss two important players like Sosa and Martirena so I’ll go for the hosts to reach the final.
