Argentine Primera Division: Boca vs Racing Odds for February 20, 2026

Boca – Racing

Boca Juniors are performing well below their fans’ expectations. Last Sunday, the team delivered a poor display and ultimately were fortunate to escape with a goalless draw at home against Platense, in a match that drew clear disapproval from La Bombonera. With just one win in their last four league matches (one draw and two defeats), El Xeneize have collected seven points from a possible 15 in the Torneo Apertura. On a positive note, they have earned all of those points at home, winning two and drawing one so far in 2026. Leandro Paredes succumbed to an ankle injury and will miss out. Racing Club seem to be leaving behind their worrying start to the year. Last Saturday, they made their individual quality count to defeat Banfield 2–0 away from home with goals from Marco Di Césare and Adrián Martínez. As a result, La Academia have recorded their second consecutive league victory and have reached six points from five matches in the Torneo Apertura, moving clear of the bottom spots in the overall standings. Too many important missings for Boca due to injuries: their two best players, midfielder and captain Leandro Paredes and playmaker Exequiel Zeballos, midfielders Herrera, Palacios and Battaglia, striker Milton Gimenez. They will use a midfield full of reserves and this should give Racing the chance of at least not losing in this derby.
