Central Cordoba vs Newell’s
After a perfect start, CA Central Cordoba took a small step back last Monday when they failed to hold onto their lead and ended up losing 2-1 away to Defensa y Justicia. This result halted a mini-streak of two consecutive victories in league action, though El Ferroviario remain within the playoff zone in Group A, having accumulated six points after the first three rounds of the Torneo Apertura. On a positive note, Central won their last three home matches.
Newell’s Old Boys showed some signs of recovery in their last match, securing a much-needed 1-0 home victory over newcomers Aldosivi, with a first-half goal from Gonzalo Maroni. La Lepra ended a two-match losing streak in the league and earned their first three points in the Torneo Apertura. However, the team have struggled away from home recently, winning just one of their last 11 away games, drawing four, and losing six.
Newell’s didn’t play well even when facing the worst team of the league, Aldosivi, as they won through one of their few chances. Central Cordoba has been really good especially at home and at these odds they are definitely worth a bet.
