Huracan – Estudiantes
Thanks to a goal from their star player, Walter Mazzanti, Huracan started the season with a valuable 1-1 draw against Belgrano away from home, earning their first point in the Torneo Apertura. Now, Frank Kudelka’s team need to return to winning ways, as they have managed just one victory in their last six league matches, along with two draws and three losses. At home, however, Huracan has been formidable, remaining unbeaten in their last seven games, with four wins and three draws. Matko Miljevic, recently signed from Newell’s Old Boys, is ready to play following his international duty with the USA national team. Estudiantes started the year on a high note: last Saturday, the team easily handled what seemed to be a tough challenge, defeating Union Santa Fe 3-1 at home, scoring all three goals within the first 20 minutes of the match. With this result, El Pincha are now unbeaten in four league matches, with two wins and two draws. Furthermore, Eduardo DomInguez’s side are on a six-game unbeaten streak away from home, securing two victories and four draws. Estudiantes looked as good as expected in the first round scoring 3 goals against a tough team like Union and I would expect here to see another open game with at least a couple of goals against this Huracan that has been solid at home.
