Independiente Rivadavia vs Argentinos Jrs
Independiente Rivadavia fans must have felt very frustrated last week when their team drew 1-1 away at Tigre after conceding the equalizer in the 12th minute of stoppage time. La Lepra have failed to win any of their last four league matches (two draws and two defeats) and sit on just five points from the first six rounds of the Torneo Clausura, leaving them outside the Copa Sudamericana spots in the overall table for now. At home, they have collected only one point out of a possible nine. Coach Alfredo Berti has all of his regular starters available for Saturday.
Argentinos Juniors played their best match of the semester last Sunday, coming from behind to thrash Racing Club 4-1 at home. Having lost just one of their last four league games (two wins and one draw), El Bicho reached eight points in six rounds, staying just one point away from the Copa Libertadores qualifying spots through the aggregate table. On the negative side, Nicolás Diez’s men are winless in their last six away matches (drawing four and losing two).
Argentinos comes from a great offensive performance in a 4-1 trashing of Racing, and 7 of the last 8 Independiente Rivadavia games had at least 2 goals so I expect this trend to continue between these two good attacking teams.
