Argentine Primera Division: San Lorenzo vs Platense Odds for May 25, 2025

San Lorenzo vs Platense

San Lorenzo continue to push forward. After a hard-fought 1-1 draw away to Argentinos Juniors last Monday, the team held their nerve in a penalty shootout to stay in the race for their first league title in 12 years. El Ciclón have lost just once in their last nine league matches, with three wins and five draws in regular time during that span. At home, San Lorenzo have lost only one of their last four matches (with two wins and one draw). There are no new injuries to report for Miguel Russo’s team ahead of Sunday. Even though Elian Irala is ready to return from suspension, the man in charge will repeat the XI.

Platense keep the dream of a first-ever league title alive. Last Tuesday, the team had to settle for a devastating 1-1 draw in their visit to River Plate after conceding a goal in the 98th minute, but they went on to win the penalty shootout and reached the semifinals of the Torneo Apertura. El Calamar have lost just one of their last six matches in the competition (with three wins and two draws in regular time), and only one of their last four away from home (winning two and drawing one). There are no new injuries to report for Platense ahead of Sunday.

Even though we had some underish Quarterfinals, I like the OVER in this very low totals line. San Lorenzo has scored at home at least once in 6 of their last 7 games, including a 2-1 win against this same rival a couple of months ago, and if they can score, things should open up and we could have a 2nd one.

BET: OVER 1.5 @ 1.93
