Talleres vs Rosario Central
Talleres, runners-up in the last Liga Profesional, continue to struggle this season. Last weekend, they were outplayed by Tigre (one of the Group A leaders) and ended up losing 2-1 at home. Although they have a game in hand, La T are having a poor 2025 campaign, with just five points from one win, two draws, and four defeats. They are also on a three-game winless streak in the league, with two draws and one loss. Additionally, Talleres earned just one point from the last 15 available at the Estadio Mario Alberto Kempes. On Wednesday, March 5, Talleres won on penalties after a 0-0 draw against River Plate in the 2023 Supercopa Internacional.
Rosario Central finally suffered their first defeat of the year last matchday, as their performance dropped and they ended up losing 1-0 to Boca Juniors away from home. As a result, the team snapped their eight-game unbeaten streak in the league (six wins and two draws), but remain as group B leaders on 17 points, alongside Independiente and San Lorenzo.. Away from home, Central have earned eight out of a possible 15 points in 2025, with two wins, two draws, and one loss. Facundo Mallo misses out again.
Talleres won their 2nd title ever against River last week and they celebrated a lot but now it’s time to put that behind and focus in the league where they are not doing well and soon might run out of chances to get a spot in the playoffs. Rosario Central has been good despite last week’s defeat at Boca and they won’t have one of their best defender, Facundo Mallo, so with the hosts having to take risks and go for the 3 points I’ll go for the OVER here.
