Tigre vs Banfield
Tigre delivered their best performance of the season last weekend, taking advantage of an early red card to thrash Independiente Rivadavia 4-1 away from home. With this result, Diego Dabove’s team secured their third victory in the last four matches, suffering just one defeat in that span. This positive streak has firmly placed them in the Group A playoff zone, now sitting on 12 points. Additionally, Tigre have been outstanding at home this year, winning all three matches without conceding a goal. All starters are available for Monday’s match.
Banfield put in a solid performance last Friday but ultimately suffered an unfair 1-0 home defeat against Boca Juniors, conceding a goal in the 86th minute. As a result, the team are now winless in four league matches (one draw and three losses), leaving them with seven points in the Torneo Apertura, currently outside the playoff spots in Group A. In fact, Banfield lost their last two away matches (both 1-0 defeats against Barracas Central and Estudiantes). Tomás Nasif is still recovering from injury and will not play on Monday.
