Botafogo (Brazil) vs Racing Club (Argentina)
The 1st leg of this Recopa Sudamericana (the championship between the 2024 Sudamericana and Libertadores champions) was a clear win for Racing who looked solid, more focused and definitely better in attack than a washed up Botafogo that doesn’t look at all like the team that won their first Copa Libertadores less than 3 months ago.
Last weekend Racing rested because their league game against Union was postponed so they could be prepared for this game at Brazil, while Botafogo played the last round of their regional state championship, used most of their usual starters because they had to win to advance to the playoffs and still lost 1-0 and finished in the 9th place out of 12 teams, which means they are out of this competition.
Racing are the clear favorites here to win this trophy but I will go for the OVER in the totals line because I can imagine the hosts taking big risks and both teams scoring.
